Joint U.S. – South Korea Status Levels
Seoul – U.S Joint Forces Command-South Korea is reported to have increased the status of the military surveillance coordination, Wednesday (10/4). The decision to respond to the threat of thermo-nuclear from North Korea that was announced on Tuesday (9/4).
Combined command raised the Watchcon status from three to two. Carousel, Yonhap News Agency, quoting a senior military official said, it indicates “vital threat”.
Based on highest Watchcon 4 apply during peacetime, Watchcon 3 reflects the important threats, and indications of Watchcon 2 is used in times of war.
North Korea says the South Korea intelligence has completed preparations for a missile test, perhaps on the anniversary of North Korea’s founder, Kim Il-Sung on April 15.
While Japan has strengthened its defence system reportedly fearing North Korea would attack Japan or u.s. military bases on the islands of Japan.
Japan’s Media reported the Defense Ministry had put the destroyer with interceptor missile system in conditions of alert to shoot down any missile or missile ruins that appear on the territory of Japan.
